Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event will be held this Saturday, April 28th from 10am to 4pm and our family is beyond excited. We are honored to share our STEM love as guest panelists at the Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event.
I wrote not too long a post about a life lesson learned through my oldest experience at the Connecticut Invention Convention and thankful that all turned around for their good. Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event is giving us the platform to showcase our STEM lifestyle.
Yesterday we enjoyed an exclusive use of the Discovery Museum 3-D printer to create some parts of the girls’ invention and they haven’t stopped talking about it. David Mestre, Director of the Discovery Museum Henry Dupont III Planetarium, took the time to educate us about the whole 3-D printing process and we left ready for Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event.
We came home motivated and are putting the finishing touch as we are gearing for Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event. Presented by Discovery Museum and Jack and Jill of America Inc. Eastern Fairfield County Chapter, Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event will feature hands-on activities, planetarium shows, Science on a Sphere demos to encourage you to decode a STEM path that is perfect for you.
Discovery Museum and Jack & Jill STEMtacular Event include our girls, 3 STEM Sisters who will be guests panelists on the topics of Young STEM Entrepreneurs. I will be sharing about the various STEM educational resources as a guest panelist on the STEM gateways topics and Hubby is honored to share about his STEM career path as a Computer Engineer on the Higher STEM topics.
I had the honor last week to speak about the topic of STEM at home as a guest panelist during Discovery Museum First Annual STEM Bloggers and Parents Summit and I can’t stress enough the importance of STEM education for our children. STEM is important because it’s in every part of our lives.
Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. Engineering is the basic designs of infrastructures all around us. Mathematics is in every occupation and every activity we do in our lives.
STEM education in school is important to spark an interest in pursuing a STEM career but parents also must encourage their children to pursue STEM activities and increase awareness and interest at home and in extracurricular activities of the merits of STEM education.
