Barbados is Hubby’s home country and we have been visiting more now that the girls are getting older. There’s nothing like celebrating Christmas with our family in Barbados and leaving the frigid cold behind us last December was one of the sweet highlights of our end of year.

You cannot visit Barbados without experiencing Chefette for yourself and so per our girls’ request, we made our way to the Chefette in Bridgetown then we made our way to Bridgetown Duty Free to walk off some calories while shopping for friends in the States and souvenirs for us.

A couple of years ago we discovered Agapey Chocolate Factory and it’s now one of our favorite stops in Bridgetown for our dessert experience. The factory opened its doors in 2010, and it has been delighting customers over the many years ever since. All of their products are sublime, fresh and delicious, and a true chocolate lover’s experience.
Another must see in our Family Fun Things To Do In Bridgetown Barbados is Carlisle Bay, a small natural harbor, located in the southwest region of Barbados according to Wikipedia. The island nation’s capital is situated on this bay which has been turned into a marine park. Carlisle Bay’s marine park is a popular spot on the island for scuba diving. Many relics, such as anchors and cannonballs, from ships can be found on the ocean floor in Carlisle Bay.
The nearby Pelican Village is a must see with its attractive, spacious shopping village offering the very best of local handicrafts, and providing the opportunity to see Barbados’ craftsmen at work. We stopped by this cute shop and spend the major part of our stop talking to the owner and we are so glad we did.
Family Fun Things To Do In Bridgetown Barbados is all about taking in the local scenery and doing what we love as a family. We did all this in an afternoon and all that walking made us hungry. We decided that we had such a full day that a home cooked meal was in order. The Massy supermarket called our name and we grabbed a couple of items for dinner before heading home and preparing for another excursion around the island that we will share with you soon.
