When I heard about Little Playtimes program at Legoland Discovery Center, I couldn’t wait to experience it with my toddler. Home education is very important to us and I always look for fun learning activities to do with Babygirl.
Little Playtimes is for little LEGO lovers who can enjoy big fun at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester featuring discounted admission every Tuesday through June 27. I love the fact that Babygirl and I got to explore at our leisure because as soon as we arrived, she was ready to go.
The schedule for Little Playtimes starts at 10:30am with Farmer Workshop. We had the pleasure of having Miss Stacie as our instructor and it was wonderful to see Babygirl transform into a farmer girl. I happily watched Babygirl feed and take care of the animals she was in charge with. I am happy to report that we left the animals under Miss Stacie’s safe care in their new home on top of the roof because apparently the rooftop has a better view of the moon than the inside of a barn.
Since Little Playtimes Animal Bingo was at 11:30am, we headed to Babygirl’s favorite Lego Racing Track where she got to build and test her design with other engineers. There is no greater joy than to watch your proud little Lego Racer show off her engineering skills on the track.
Next we entered the world of Lego Friends for some celebratory karaoke performance. Her choice was “Girls just wanna have fun” and that sums up my day with Babygirl. Before we knew it, it was time for Animal Bingo workshop and so we happily joined Miss Stacie again for another fun learning activity.
Little Playtimes Animal Bingo workshop is not your typical bingo game. The twist is to build the bingo pieces together into the animal on your bingo card. Miss Stacie quickly found out that when a toddler enjoys anything, she asks you to do it again and again. I am thankful for other adults who can appreciate a toddler’s curiosity and Miss Stacie showed us why she is an instructor at Little Playtimes.
Little Playtimes Storytime was right after Animal Bingo at 12p but lunch was all that was on Babygirl’s mind so to the cafeteria we went. After lunch, Babygirl enjoyed some more playtime in the Duplo area before we headed home.l
Babygirl and I enjoyed our fun morning at Little Playtimes so much that I can tell it won’t be too long before we come back to Legoland Discovery Center.
