Our Family Travel To Montgomery County in Maryland

Our Family Travel To Montgomery County in MarylandOur family travel to Montgomery County in Maryland was one we couldn’t wait to take once Christmas break arrived. As one of the most populous and affluent counties in the United States, Montgomery County also has the highest percentage of residents over 25 years of age who hold post-graduate degrees. The county has been ranked as the one of the wealthiest in the United States and contains many major U.S. government offices, scientific research and learning centers, and business campuses, which provide a significant amount of revenue for the county.

Our family travel to Montgomery County in Maryland was all about spending quality time with my best friend of 26 years and her beautiful family. My best friend and I met New Year’s Eve 1993 and we have since made it a tradition, schedule permitting, to spend New Year’s Eve together. The weather in Maryland was warmer than Connecticut and it was wonderful to get some fun outdoors exploring the neighborhood.

We arrived on January 30th and spend most of the day catching up on our lives while the children enjoyed time together. My best friend has 3 children like me and it helps that they are close in age. The next day, we enjoyed a trip to Costco to get ready for New Year’s Eve festivities with family and friends.

Our Family Travel To Montgomery County in MarylandWe had a blast ringing in the New Year together and enjoyed every moment. We kicked off the first day of January with lounging, talking, eating and napping. We took advantage of having both our moms with us to go on a night out with other adults. It was exactly what we needed to remind us to take time for ourselves.

Our family travel to Montgomery County in Maryland was short but sweet. Feeling very refreshed from the original social networking of together time with family and friends, high-speed connecting with no WiFi required, laughter and food, making talking the new texting and putting the phone down to be present. This is simply how I would like to start every new year. Hope your new year is going fantastic and I look forward to seeing all that 2020 has in store for us!
