Babygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureBabygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure was our recent homeschool destination and I can’t believe I waited this long to bring her. I visited Stepping Stones Museum with the oldest two from the moment they could crawl and we created some wonderful memories there. Babygirl’s turn was different because we moved to a new town around her first birthday and I have to admit that it has taken us the past two years to get adjusted to our new community.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureBabygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure was long overdue and I promised myself that this year was the perfect year to get her acclimated with what Stepping Stones Museum has to offer. Stepping Stones Museum for Children is not just any museum. It’s a fun, colorful and engaging environment that recognizes the value of play in promoting learning, creativity and discovery. As a special place where children of all ages are encouraged to explore, invent, test and observe, the museum is a leading destination for schools, groups, families and anyone seeking a “wow!” experience.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureStepping Stones opened in March, 2000, and was founded by Gigi Priebe in response to the needs expressed by parents, educators and community leaders actively seeking quality educational offerings to help children learn and grow. Our ability to grow in step with our community and the changing world is due to the thousands and thousands of individuals who believe Stepping Stones is an essential resource in expanding young minds.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureTheir mission is to broaden and enrich the educational opportunities for children ages ten and under and enhance their understanding of the world. The museum seeks to create an environment that inspires lifelong learning and supports parents, caregivers and educators as facilitators of children’s explorations.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureBabygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure first stop was in the water area and she could not get enough of it. We proceeded to the construction area where safety came first and she proudly put on her hard hat and construction vest for her painting job. We hopped into the green screen where I wished I had videotaped because she was hilariously a natural.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureBabygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure continued with drumming and spending some time in BooZoo’s reading nook. Then it was time for lunch and we happily made our way to the cafeteria. After lunch it was time to burn those calories in the tot area for some sensory fun. We also took time for art and proudly displayed the finished work in the gallery.

Babygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure came with a time for bowling or soccer and learning our numbers because homeschool never stops. The perfect end for our fun learning adventure was time in the gallery dancing and burning all that energy before heading home for a nap.

Babygirl's Stepping Stones Museum AdventureBabygirl’s Stepping Stones Museum Adventure was exactly what we both needed after a tough past week of sickness and I am glad we can experience Babygirl’s firsts at Stepping Stones Museum together. Babygirl asked me when we are coming back and I can tell it will be very soon!
