Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I encourage you to revisit your dream because the little girl in you will thank you for that. I remember as a young girl dreaming that all things were possible and I had quite a wild imagination, I must say or so I thought because my dreams were so big that I knew I couldn’t make them come true on my own but I love the whole feeling of the impossible with God being possible.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I know the weight of motherhood is pulling you in all directions and the responsibilities outweigh the possibilities so much so that giving yourself permission to reconnect with your forgotten dreams feels like that’s not the mom thing to do. I am here to tell you that it’s a lie that has bound so many of us moms and need to be let go in order for us to embrace the many possibilities that lie before us if only we believe.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your DreamDear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, you owe it to the world to grace the stage of life because you have been behind the scenes too long hiding behind motherhood or pursuing a career and not your calling while neglecting the little girl in you who believed she could. You sound noble justifying not having time to take you back but remember you are the one who put an expiration date on your dreams and not the One who called you.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I always say that motherhood was never meant to put a period in your life but rather a comma in the pursuit of all that God has called you to be and do. A lot of us moms think that motherhood means martyrdom and it’s far from it. Motherhood is an opportunity to get back in touch with the child in us as we train our children in the way that they should go. We do all we can to affirm and build confidence in our children while forgetting that we are called to walk the talk because children do as we do and not solely as we say so let’s remember to be who we want them to become.

What Makes A WELLthy Woman?Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, you are so much more than changing diapers or pursuing a career and don’t you ever forget that because when I did, my spirit and soul were dying and so was everything in my life. I was so busy nurturing that I have forgotten to nurture the most important person in my life: me. The WELLthy mom journey started when I vowed to embrace a state of whole well-being in motherhood that nurtures the nurturer in me because it’s suicidal to think that I can give out of empty but that’s what most of us do.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I want you to set a time today to dream again and dream wild just like when you were a little girl. I want you to give yourself permission to think of all the infinite possibilities if time or money or resources were not an issue. I want you to dream so big that you think to yourself how crazy that sounds because when you get to that point, you know that your heart has embraced the limitless possibilities that could be.

International Women's Day 2023Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I did just that and I have to be honest it felt so good that I couldn’t stop and I don’t want to stop because it brings fuel to my motherhood journey in ways that I never imagined. I know you’ll never guess that I was a dancer most of my life because even my children were in shock when I stopped talking about being a dancer and now living it. When my girls see me dancing now, it’s no shock to them because it’s part of our home life now and I love it.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I have been asked the past year to speak at different occasions and I am loving it. I am loving the opportunity to share my heart and my experience to audience at my church, at Whole Foods, and at women’s gathering. People may see me living it now but what they don’t know is that it’s been one of my dreams to be a speaker since I was a child. I love to speak life into others, especially moms, because I am one and my heart is for us moms to embrace and believe the impossible.

International Women's Day 2023Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I am so glad that I reconnected with my chidlhood dream because to BeLieve it is truly to BE it behind the scenes while trusting the process and to LIVE it on the stage of life while trusting God’s timing. I thought I had given up on my dream of being a teacher/speaker but really I simply stopped reconnecting with that little girl in me who believed she could.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, it’s time to reconnect with the little girl in you and believe you can because you can. You are endowed with that mustard seed of faith thatĀ Jesus talks about in theĀ Parable of the Mustard SeedĀ referring to faith and the Kingdom of God. There, Jesus says that the kingdom of God “is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, you are that mustard seed and you are not insignificant because you are called to grow and bear fruit in your life, your marriage, your motherhood journey and beyond. You are destined for greatness and owe it to the “birds” destined to perch in your shade to be planted and grow.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, there is no time like now to revive your dreams because you totally can but you have to take that step of faith. I now realize that purpose and calling are not simply about us but about others who need our light to shine to make a way for them.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your DreamDear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, you were right when you thought to yourself that your dreams were way too big because if only you knew the legacy you are called to leave, you would not know where to start. You are right because we serve a big God who only asks us to have faith because nothing is impossible with Him. I have decided this past year with all the wonderful possibilities in God unfolding before me to encourage as many moms as I can so that we can soar together.

Dear WELLthy Mom Who Has Given Up On Your Dream, I encourage you to dream again and change your destiny because you are more than just a mom, you are destined for everything God has called you to be so Believe it by giving yourself permission to BE it and LIVE it. Take a listen at my talk about the cost of God’s calling and be encouraged!
