Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs Recipe

Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs RecipeSticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs Recipe is one recipe I couldn’t wait to try once I got my hands on Ayesha Curry’s recipe book “The Seasoned Life“. I enjoy a good Baby Back Ribs once in a while and I was bummed when one of my favorite local barbecue restaurants closed down.

I have been looking for a worthy barbecue restaurant to enjoy some “falling off the bones” ribs but nothing has lived up to my taste buds standards so far. I enjoy following Ayesha Curry for her fantastic culinary adventures and I had her recipe book once it came out but have not gotten the chance to give anything a try until now. I have been wanting some ribs for a while so Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs Recipe was one I decided to challenge myself with.

Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs RecipeSticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs Recipe is my version from the book and it’s very easy and simple to make. My girls were excited to learn that I was making ribs for dinner so to BJ’s I went, purchased some baby back ribs, cleaned and dried them with paper towels before seasoning with LadyNOD GPS (Garlic Powder, black Pepper and Sea Salt), then putting them in a large aluminum foil pan to refrigerate for 24 hours.

Ingredients:

Brown Rice

  • 1 1/2 cups of uncooked brown rice
  • 3 cups water

Baby Back Ribs

  • 2 1/2-3 lbs rack baby back ribs
  • The WELLthy Mom GPS (Garlic Powder, black Pepper and Sea Salt)

Sauce

  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 onion minced
  • 8 cloves of garlic, minced

Haricots Verts (Green Beans)

  • 12 oz trimmed Green Beans
  • medium red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Rinse brown rice and place it in a pot with the water. Bring it to a boil. Lower the heat, cover and cook for 30 minutes.

Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs RecipeWhile the brown rice is cooking, place the pan covered in the oven for 30 minutes. Increase the oven temperature to 450. Whisk together the sugar, water, honey, onion, and garlic. Pour the sauce over the ribs, cover and bake until tender about 1 hour 30 minutes, for mine. Uncover and bake until the ribs have crisped up, about 5 minutes.

For the side of Haricots Verts, add olive oil to pan. Sautee the onion until translucent. Add garlic along with The WELLthy Mom GPS.  Let it cooked until the veggies are tender. Then add the green beans for about 5 minutes and Voila!  Bon Appetit and enjoy my ‘fall off the bones” Sticky Honey Garlic Baby Back Ribs Recipe!!
