The power of starting today comes from the pain I experienced not too long ago in the process of waiting and the hope in the promise of my Momboss journey taking shape. We as humans tend to think that something has to be born to die, while according to the Word of God, something has to die to be born. I learned in my morning devotion that unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
How many of us fail to bear fruit in our life because we carry our dream seeds tucked safely in our heart instead of releasing it to the world to benefit. I am guilty of that and realize that I am simply comfortable being SEEDful instead of being FRUITful which God called each of us to be.
The power of starting today is the key to turn dreamers into doers. The idea is to start where we are, use what we have and do what we can. Moms have a propensity to overanalyze or justify why we can’t do something for us. We are natural when it comes to giving of our time and gifts to others but make excuses when it comes to us. We have to remember that motherhood doesn’t mean martyrdom and we owe it to ourselves to go for what sets our soul on fire!
The glory of the promise as a WELLthy Mom is to live full pursuing our passion and purpose and mom fulfilled out of the overflow. We are called to thrive and not barely survive in the motherhood journey. The past two years should have taught us that tomorrow is not guaranteed because to many of us death has reared its ugly head and shaken its fist but life didn’t seem to give in easily.
Though death shows us the ugly in the moments when we feel like failures or when we feel like we don’t have what it takes, Jesus’ resurrection is our proof and promise that anything is possible if we believe and start today. The power of starting today is to know that our dreams are worth investing into so today take that vacation, start that class, write that book, eat healthier or make time to discover your heart passion.
You are worth it and the world needs you to go for it! It takes grit to stay the course and I pray that you shut down any distractions in the journey and see what happens when you focus and see your action goals through. Remember to celebrate in the journey and extend yourself grace when need be. We are in this together and you got this!
