The Why behind the WELLthy Mom Blog is for me to introduce moms everywhere what it is to live and love the calling of motherhood. I am a blessed wife, mom and entrepreneur because I have embraced who I am designed to be and the path to that realization is a story in itself.
I came to the USA from the beautiful country of Cote D’Ivoire 30 years ago, thinking I wanted to become a pharmacist. Once I started the Pharmacy program, I fell in love with Mathematics so I decided to study Computational Science which combined my love of Math with the growing field of Computer Science. Once I started Computational Science, I fell in love with Finance and worked in the banking field. I then decided to study MBA Finance but life and love interrupted my plans.
I took a well needed break with the understanding that I would come back and finish an MBA degree but that was about 19 years ago and since then, I am married to the love of my life and we are currently raising our 3 princesses here in Connecticut and they are keeping our hearts and lives full!
In the busyness of being home with my girls, I needed a creative outlet to get back to me, myself and I so blogging became the channel to strive for that balance. I am a testament of the endless possibilities that happen when you take the first decisive step and proceed to put another step in front of the other trusting God’s plans for your life.
Today, I am at a fantastic place as an entrepreneur sans the MBA and exploring opportunities to grow and add value to moms. The Why behind the WELLthy Mom Blog is much more than sharing resources. I wanted to share my humble journey of faith, family, wellness, foodie and fun travel adventures to empower other moms in their motherhood journey.
There is greatness in each of us and discovering the “Why” will make way for us moms to embrace and cultivate whole well-being mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially. My heart in this life journey is to be the best wife, mom and entrepreneur I can be while supporting other moms I meet along this not so easy journey that is motherhood.
In the WELLthy family lifestyle journey, we do not strive for perfection but for progress. We extend grace to ourselves grace when we fail. We celebrate when we win. We press through in between. Thank you so much for embracing the Why behind the WELLthy Mom Blog with me and here’s to purpose and endless possibilities in being the priority not an option!
