Our Yummy Story Destination to Wells Hollow Creamery in Shelton, CTWith Spring here, our yummy story destination is back with a trip to Wells Hollow Creamery.  For those of you who are not familiar with our yummy story destination series, it takes us different yummy places around CT and beyond where we review anything from breakfast to dinner and always dessert.  The review is based on the total number of Yummy Yes (5 being the maximum since we are a family of five) at the end of our yummy adventure.

Last weekend we were looking for a new dessert destination and Wells Hollow Creamery in Shelton, CT was our choice.  The description on the internet looks like a fun place for us so off to West Hollow we went!  We love our dessert adventures because they build some yummy WELLthy MOMents together.
Our Yummy Story Destination to Wells Hollow Creamery in Shelton, CTWhen we arrived, the girls could not contain their excitement when we were greeted at the entrance with a bunny inside its cage.  On our way to the window to place our order, a rooster named Red walked quietly around to my girls’ delight!  My middle daughter pointed out to me that customers can buy Red some treats.  Since Red was very friendly, we decided that we would make him part of our Dessert Story adventure!

West Hollow Creamery is a 5th generation farm that offers more than 50 flavors of ice cream!  Make sure to check out their ice cream page before your visit!  Hubby chose their sweet buttery loaded with pecan halves ice cream while I went with their smooth and sweet coffee ice cream.  My oldest chose the unusual flavor of play dough, a bright vanilla ice cream with red and blue cookie dough mixed in.  My middle one chose their rainbow vanilla, a vanilla ice cream swirled in yellow, blue and red! We got to enjoy other farm animals like the goat while feeding Red the rooster.  Overall, we give West Hollow 5 Yummy YES for the farm experience and their ice cream that we could tell were made with high quality ingredients from New England dairy farms.  You can read more about other Yummy Story Destinations and here’s to making yummy MOMents together!
