Fall has officially arrived here in Connecticut with the gorgeous Fall colors on the trees and the crisp cool air. For those who know me, Fall is my favorite season of the year.

Hit The Trail

That’s one of our family’s favorite thing to do. We heard about a new trail and decided to go explore on a crisp Saturday morning.  Having our youngest daughter in tow, we came ready with the jogger, water bottles and our favorite on the go protein bar.  The trail was over 2 miles long so we challenged each other to run the whole way through. We rewarded ourselves by taking a break and enjoy the gorgeous New England Fall.

Whether it’s soccer, baseball, football or any other kind of ball, adapt any kind of outdoor games to include some ball. We are soccer lovers so running around with the soccer ball is one way we enjoy getting some fun family Fall fitness together.

Our girls are such big helpers and boy do they love raking leaves in the Fall until we found out the real reason behind it.  It’s really the sweet reward of jumping into the pile of leaves. I am all for that and encourage this fun family Fall fitness idea any chance I get.

Fun Family Fall Fitness IdeasHubby and I are firm believers that a family that works out together, stays fit together and we do our best to be creative in the Fall and Winter time in order to stay on target on our fit life journey. There is no better place I’d rather be than enjoy the outdoors with my family. There is something so relaxing and peaceful about being in nature that we encourage our family to get at least 30 minutes outdoor activities every day, weather permitting.

Fun Family Fall Fitness IdeasI enjoy my daily jog now that my girls are all in school and right now in the Fall, it’s simply beautiful to witness the magic of Fall being unveiled every chance I go out and get moving.
